WATERBURY- It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Lionel Jordan, age 66, of Waterbury, share the news of his unexpected passing on Friday, September 26, 2025, in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by his loving family.
Lionel was born on June 26, 1959 in Waterbury, the son of the late Lionel Turner and Ethel L. Townsend Jordan. He spent his early years in Waterbury, where he attended local schools. He dedicated much of his life to working as an equipment operator, notably with Phoenix Soil, LLC, where he was known for his hard work and commitment. Beyond his professional life, he was a devoted foodie, he enjoyed going to McBrides and an undeniable sweet tooth, with 5th Avenue candy bars holding a special place in his heart. He had a zest for life and cherished his time spent at the casino. But what was most important to Lionel was spending quality time with his family.
Left to honor and cherish his memory are his children; Christine Eason,Neticia Eason, Jermaine Riddick; all of Waterbury and Sharell Jordan of Atlanta, GA, his 6 grandchildren, his brothers; Dennis F. Jordan and his wife Bernadette of Waterbury, Lee Jordan of Gainsville, GA, Lawrence Turner of Oxford, NC and Stanley Turner of Middlesex, NC, his lifelong friend; Emma Eason of Waterbury and his very close relationship with his nieces Dawn Sanchez and Essence Divine. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members. He was predeceased by his sister, Albina D. Jordan.
Funeral services for Mr. Jordan will be held on Friday, October 10. 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care,1987 East Main St Waterbury CT.
