Liris Tipka Obituary
Liris "Lee" Barton Tipka, 86, of Stroudsburg, PA passed away peacefully after a prolonged illness.
Born in Ilkeston, England on February 21, 1938, she was the daughter of Ernest and Nancy Barton. In her younger years, she loved riding her horses and partaking in fox hunting in Chester County, PA. Liris was a longtime Executive Assistant at Outdoor World in Bushkill, PA. After retirement she lived well with her beloved husband David until his passing. She enjoyed watching birds and wildlife from her back deck, which overlooks the neighboring pond; as well as traveling to Maine to see relatives and visit Monhegan Island. She also doted on her cat, Tache.
Liris is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Geoffrey and Lani Hyde of Monkton, MD; daughter, Calista Kiley of Casco, ME; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Adrienne and Jeff Leickel of Lehighton, PA; stepdaughter, Jennifer Tipka of Morgantown, PA; and brother, Bruce Barton of Stroudsburg, PA. Grandchildren; Chelsea Yeaton, Ross Spurling, Erin Driscoll, Skylar Driscoll, Darby Hyde, and Grace Sykes. Great grandchildren; Harper Yeaton and Carter Spurling.
In addition to her parents, Liris was predeceased by her sister, Peta Lynn Fulton. A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
