Lisa M. Ayers passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, in Columbus, Indiana, at the age of 62. Born on February 6, 1963, in Wichita, Kansas, Lisa's life was characterized by her loving nature, boundless generosity, and gentle spirit. She was the beloved wife of Michael A. Ayers, with whom she shared countless cherished memories. As a devoted mother, her kindness and guidance were the foundation for her children, Nikki Randall, Nathan Huffman, Levi Huffman, Christopher Ayers, and Daniel (Claire) Ayers. Her role as a grandmother was one that Lisa cherished deeply, showering Preston and Parker Ayers, Brody Randall, and her great-grandson Izaak Randall with affection. Lisa shared a special bond with each of them, leaving behind a legacy of love that will be felt for generations to come. Debbie Logsdon, her sister, will remember her as a confidante and a source of strength. Her niece Lucy (Jerod) Fincher, nephew James Morris, and great-niece Seven Fincher will carry forward the memories of her unending support and the joyful moments spent together. Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Shirlene Peterson. Lisa worked at Toyota Material Handling, as a Quality Inspector. Her colleagues were not merely co-workers but an extended family, who cherished her care and mentorship. She had the rare ability to make everyone feel special, recognized, and heard. Her interests reflected the beauty she found in simple pleasures, mirroring her uncomplicated approach to life. Lisa loved her cat, Leo, which brought her immense joy and companionship. She was also an avid collector of rocks, each piece telling a story of her adventures. Arizona was her haven, a place where she relished in the beauty of the landscape and found solace in the vastness of its deserts. As her physical journey ends, Lisa's story lives on through her family, friends, and all the cherished memories they hold. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 20, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. in Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Adam Carrigan officiating. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bartholomew County Humane Society through the funeral home.
