Lisa Marie Beard, 55, of Lebanon passed away after a courageous battle with breast cancer on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at her residence. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Richard L. "Rick" Beard.
Lisa was born in Lebanon on May 24, 1969, to Russ Henry (Romaine) of Lebanon and Gail (Shirey) Spitler of Lebanon. Lisa was an elementary school teacher in the Lebanon School District for over 30 years. She attended the Church of The Good Shepherd. Lisa was all about fitness, she enjoyed walking, weight training, swimming in her pool, and teaching exercise classes especially her early morning BodyPump Class. She loved going to the beach and boating with her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband and her parents are her children, Tyler Beard of Ocean City, MD, Emily Beard of Lebanon, her paternal grandparents, Clyde and Marlene Henry of Lebanon, half-sister Bethany Spitler of Elizabethtown, and step-brother Robert Kreider of Lebanon.
On Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 1 PM to 4 PM, Lisa's life will be celebrated at St. Gertrude's Social Hall, 302 E. Lehman Street, Lebanon, PA. Friends and family are invited to drop in at their convenience anytime during that period. This is a casual event and wearing your favorite LHS or LVC swag is encouraged. Beginning at 2 PM, there will be a time of remembrance.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lebanon Valley Education Partnership which connects Lisa's two alma maters, the Lebanon School District and Lebanon Valley College in creating access to education for students. Donations may be made payable to Lebanon Valley College with a designation of "LVEP: Lisa Beard" on the memo line and mailed to: Lebanon Valley College, Office of Advancement, 101 N.
