Lisa C. Brecount, 49, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Monday, July 08, 2013 at her home. She was born on February 27, 1964 in Ft. Madison, to Clarence and Elsie Thomas Brecount, Sr. She had worked production at Gleasons. Lisa liked to cook and loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed her flowers and plants and she enjoyed bowling and was a mother/daughter champion. Survivors include two sons, Dustin (Elizabeth) Brecount of Ft. Madison and Jordan Brecount of Ft. Madison; three grandsons, Clayton, Dane and Maddax Brecount; three brothers, Steve (Shirley) Brecount of Montrose, Tim (Georgia) Brecount of Keosauqua and David Brecount of Ft. Madison; three sisters, Nikki (Bob) Hogan of Donnellson, Becky (Kevin) Britton of Ft. Madison and Lori (David) Buford of Bonaparte, IA; one sister-in-law: Sheila Brecount of Farmington, IA; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Clarence "Bugs" Brecount Jr. and a nephew, Zach Bevier. The Memorial Service will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the First Christian Church with Rev. John Simpson officiating. A gathering of family and friends with a meal served will be held immediately following the service at the Eagles Club. Her body has been cremated and there will be no formal visitation. A memorial has been established in her memory and online condolences may be left at www.kinglynk.com. King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
