Lisa Ann Buchenberger, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on February 6, 1963, Lisa's vibrant spirit and kind heart touched the lives of all who knew her.

Lisa's journey through life was one of love, laughter, and dedication. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and was known for her creative wpassions, which included coloring and diamond art. However, her greatest joy was found in the time she spent with her family and fur babies.

Lisa's legacy is lovingly carried on by her devoted companion, Kevin Huber, who brought with him a family that Lisa embraced as her own. She also became family to Kasey White (Richard), Kori Stroud (Darrel), and Timothy Huber (Kimberly). She also took on the role as grandmother, leaving behind nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who will miss her warm hugs and endless support.

Her brother, Charles Elvis Gibbs Jr, and sister, Sheila Taylor, along with her nieces, nephew, and great-nephews, and great-great-nephews will hold onto the memories of Lisa's infectious laughter and the kindness she extended to everyone. Lisa is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Elvis and Helen Louise Gibbs, and her niece, Taylor Vaughn. Her fur babies, who were her constant companions and brought her immense joy, will also feel the absence of her gentle care.

She was a proud 1981 graduate of Bosse High School. Lisa's commitment to her community was evident in her 29 years of dedicated service to the Vanderburgh County Courts as a Pre-Sentence Investigator. She loved her job and really missed it and her coworkers when she retired.

As we bid farewell to Lisa, the family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Heart to Heart Hospice for their care and kindness during her final days.

Lisa Ann Buchenberger's presence will be profoundly missed, yet her light will continue to shine in the hearts of her loved ones forever. Her story is not one of sorrow but a celebration of a life well-lived and a woman well-loved.

The family would like to welcome all to a memorial service to honor Lisa on Friday August 8, 2025, at 9am at Sunset Funeral Home, Cremation Center and Cemetery. You are welcome to visit on Thursday August 7, 2025, from 4-6pm.
