Rensselaer – Lisa (Wimmer) Clark, age 60, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, after a long illness. Born in Albany on April 27, 1963, Lisa was the daughter of the late Claudia and Wilhelm Wimmer.

Lisa graduated from Rensselaer High School and worked at the NYS Education Department for 18 years as an Education Credentials Specialist.

Lisa was an avid reader of all genres of literature, reading a novel a day. She was a lover of movies, modern and contemporary art. She was a brilliant thinker who brought wisdom, empathy, compassion and kindness to anyone she met. She instantly bonded with those she came across, never held grudges and was a bridge to peace. Lisa was a true optimist and overcame all obstacles thrown her way without acting selfishly. She always thought of others before herself. She will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched.

Lisa leaves behind her beloved husband Jeffrey A. Clark, sister, Donna Wimmer-Wilson (Brian), brothers, Josef Wimmer (Kimberly) and John Wimmer (Stephanie), nieces and nephews Brandy Weaver, Lyndsey Shabbott, Jackson Wilson, Gleb Vorobjev, Wilhelm Wimmer, Ben, Hayden and Owen Clark. She is also survived by her father-in-law Frederick W. Clark Jr. (Fran), brother-in-law Frederick W. Clark (Beth), and her best friend Kathy Kern (Timothy) of Virginia.

Funeral will be from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer, Monday, March 4, 2024 at 6 PM .
