Lisa Serena Cook, age 57, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on October 24, 2025. She was born on December 19, 1967, in Rockmart, Georgia, the daughter of Nyoka Gresham Horsley and the late George Frank Horsley.
Lisa was the heart of her family, a devoted mother, proud grandmother, and loyal friend. She had a gentle soul and a smile that could light up any room. Lisa found joy in life's simple pleasures, spending time with her children and grandchildren, tending to her flowers, or watching the birds from her porch. She loved to dance, especially when her grandchildren joined in, and she rarely missed an episode of Dancing with the Stars. Her laughter, kindness, and nurturing spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Lisa leaves behind her best friend and companion, Terry Gore; her children, Tabatha Johnson, Sheena Gore, and Michelle and David Collins II; and her beloved grandchildren, Parker, Dre, Mikiah, Jenna, Kaitlynn, Desirae, Letty, Kylie, Riley, Chloe, Kelsey, Lilli Mae, Braydin, and Malachi, each one the light of her life.
The family will receive friends at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Following the visitation, Lisa's body will be cremated in accordance with her wishes.
Messages of condolence may be shared with the family at www.martin-hightower.com. Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Cook family during this time of remembrance.
