Lisa DeTrou

Lisa DeTrou passed away on March 18, 2026 at the age of 59 after a long battle with Posterior Cortical Atrophy, a rare neurodegenerative syndrome most commonly associated with Alzheimer's disease.

Loving mother of Elizabeth Spanfelner and Julia Spanfelner. Former husband and father of her daughters, Joseph Spanfelner. Treasured daughter of the late Val DeTrou and Sherin DeTrou (nee Williams). Beloved niece of Kim Siebrand (Pete). Dear sister of Dirk DeTrou (Karen). Cherished aunt of Ella DeTrou and Cameron Spanfelner. She is also survived by her step-mother, Pam DeTrou and step-sister, Dawn Freesen.

The family would like to thank Spring Oak's Assisted Living at Berlin NJ and Ascend Hospice for their compassionate and specialized care. The family would also like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Mary McGrath and family for all of their support for these many years.

Lisa's love, humor, and kindness will remain in her family and friend's hearts forever.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Tuesday, March 24, from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the COSTANTINO-PRIMO FUNERAL HOME, 231 W. White Horse Pike, Berlin. Funeral Service 11:00AM at the funeral home.
