Isaac Errickson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Costantino-Primo Funeral Home on Mar. 18, 2026.
Isaac "Eric" W. Errickson, 79, of Gibbsboro, passed away on March 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born and raised in Vineland, New Jersey, Eric was the eldest of four children. From an early age, he embraced the values of hard work, faith, and community that would define his life. He began his career as a mathematics and science teacher at his alma mater, Sacred Heart High School, where he occasionally taught his own younger siblings. He later spent the majority of his professional life as an analytical chemist at Kimble Glass (now Corning Pharmaceutical Glass) in Vineland. Even in retirement, Eric's passion for education continued as a part-time adjunct professor at Camden County College. A proud graduate of St. Joseph's University, he truly believed in the dignity of learning and never stopped sharing his knowledge with others.

After marrying Mary Jo, Eric moved to Gibbsboro and made it home in every sense of the word. A man of deep faith, Eric was a constant presence in his church community and a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus. His commitment to serving others was a cornerstone of his life.

Eric found great joy in simple pleasures. Most mornings, he could be found at the ShopRite of Berlin, coffee in hand, "putting the world right" alongside his friends. At home, he loved to read, tend to his garden, and settle in for an episode of Svengoolie. He was a passionate fan of UConn Basketball and held a lifelong love for baseball. He was always at his best when surrounded by family, whether gathered around the table for game night or cheering from the stands.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Eric never missed a play, a concert, or a sporting event. He showed up, every time, for the people he loved. Known as a gifted listener who loved to laugh and never shied away from a great story (regardless of the embellishment), Eric was full of spirit and generosity, and will be enormously missed by all who knew him.

Eric is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Jo Harrison-Errickson (nee Giordano); his children, Tim Errickson (Sara), Kristin Kelly-Gonzalez (Zeneido), and Julie Habelow (Jason); his grandchildren, Meaghan Gonzalez (Selena) and Caroline Kelly; his siblings, Mary Maez (Michael) and Ann Marie Gudman (Tom); and many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews and life-long friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac Howard and Mary Agnes Errickson; his first wife, Karen Errickson (nee Brown); and his brother, Bill Errickson and sister-in-law, Doreen Errickson.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Saint Simon Stock Parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 178 W. White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ. Mass will begin at 11:00 AM. Arrangements are under the direction of Costantino-Primo Funeral Home, Berlin, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eric's memory to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 157 W. White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ 08009.
