Lisa J. Garrett, age 56, passed away peacefully on May 1st, 2025 at home surrounded by her loved ones.
Lisa, Mom, or Ma as many family and friends know her by, was born on September 30, 1968 in Phenix City, AL to the late Joseph and Betty Johnson.
Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Walter Garrett; her children, Joshua, his wife Amanda, Ashleigh, her husband Dennis, Jonathan, and his wife Valerie. She was an amazing Ma to four grandchildren, Noah, Madison, Bailey, Shaley, and one great-grandchild Ryker. Also, in the mix of the lucky ones to have been blessed by Ma's love are the four-legged children that she adored so much, Molly, Frank, and Herman.
Lisa and Walter spent many years together working for Georgia Sheriffs' Youth Homes where she impacted the lives of many young men.
She enjoyed cooking, her rolls were always a big hit, thrifting for odd and unique things, taking trips to the beach, traveling to New Mexico where they lived briefly, and having get-togethers. She always loved having family and friends over and spending as much time as she could with the ones she loved the most.
Our Mom's warmth, laughter, love, and devotion to her family and friends will be dearly missed by those who were blessed by her presence.
Lisa leaves behind so many amazing memories in the minds and hearts of her family. A celebration of her life will be scheduled at a later date.
