Indianapolis - Lisa Rae Guignard, 61, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023. She was born August 27, 1962 in Beech Grove, IN to the late Denzil and Sandra Wickersham Wasson. She served her family as a homemaker.
Lisa graduated from Franklin Central High School in 1981 and earned her nursing degree from Ivy Tech. Lisa's hobbies included crafting, boating and camping. Additionally, she enjoyed playing table games, particularly cards, Yahtzee and Aggravation. She loved her family, her cats, Sierra and Mirikee, the Indianapolis Colts and listening to music.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Denzil Schockney Wasson and her mother, Sandra Evelyn Wickersham. She is survived by her son, Douglas Spegal, Jr. and his girlfriend, Sara; daughter, Elisha Garner and her husband, Joe; siblings: Mike Wasson, Roger Wasson, Tammy Wasson, Marnisa "Marni" Haltom and Tom Hendrickson; grandsons: Eli Spegal, Bly Meyers and Gabe Meyers; life partner, Richard Guignard; and many other loving family members and dear friends.
Lisa's family will receive friends Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of her life will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home.
