Lisa Lausier Obituary

Lisa Marie Lausier, 67 of Pittsfield, passed away peacefully at home on September 30, 2025.

She was born in Pittsfield on February 26, 1958, to Geno and Claire Louis Podavini.

Lisa was educated in Pittsfield Public Schools and graduated from Taconic High School in 1976. She later went on to receive her master's degree in education from Cambridge College in Boston.

Lisa was a teacher and a reading specialist for many years, working at several public schools throughout Berkshire County. Earlier in life, she also worked in the advertising department at the Berkshire Eagle.

Lisa founded a non-profit organization called Making the Grade, focused on helping children achieve their full potential in learning.

She was a faithful Communicant of St. Charles Church where she married Edward Lausier on September 11, 1983.

She is predeceased by her nephews Nicholas Wojtkowski and Brandon Powers, and her brother-in-law Ed Powers.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years Ed Lausier; their son, Timothy Lausier of Sterling, MA; her dearest sister Debra Podavini of Tampa, FL; her niece Michelle Bartels with her husband Alex, and their beautiful children Madelyn and Jackson. She also leaves behind her mother-in-law Angelina Lausier, as well as two brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law, four lovely nephews, and a grandniece.

At the request of the family, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the National Scleroderma Foundation in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
