Virginia Lisa Martin, 64 of Providence passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Baptist Health Deaconess Hospital in Madisonville. She was born in Madisonville, KY on February 19, 1961 to the late Jewell and Laura Turner. She was a member of The Well in Providence. She was a dedicated wife and mother. She was a problem solver and loved talking and cutting up with the hunters at Rooster Run where she worked for many years. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by a brother Jewell "Butch" Turner and 2 nieces Jodi Richardson and Jamie Sigler.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years Wayne Martin, 1 son Tyler Martin, 2 sisters Diane Phillips, Debbie Baker(Roger) of Providence, 1 brother Danny Turner (Teresa) all of Providence, nieces Amy Bess (Troy), April Hardrick(Ronnie), Cindy Davis(Jeff), Magon Robards(Josh), Briana Alvey(Stephen), nephews Robby Turner(Sonya), Rodney Turner(Debbie), Mark Turner(Becky), Jewell Ryan Watson, Nicky Benton(Tracy), and several great nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Vanover Funeral Home at 3:00 PM with Pastor Tim Rigdon and Pastor Barbara Rigdon officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Providence. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM till service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ryan Watson, Nicky Benton, Travis Turner, Mark Turner, Xander Benton and Alden Merrill. Memorial contributions can be made to The Well, P O Box 186 Providence, KY 42450.
