Lisa Joyce Mason was born in Pineville, Kentucky. She moved to Southwest Detroit at the age of twelve and never left.
Joyce was the youngest daughter to Idell Mason Sr. and Georgia Adams.
Joyce had a personality like no other. She was the nicest and sweetest lady ever. Everyone knew Momma Joyce was going to save the day.
She would do anything for anyone, especially her children and grandchildren. They were her entire world. Her life revolved around making sure her kids were always ok. Lisa Joyce Mason leaves her memories to be cherished by her mother, Georgia Harris, her children Lisa Miley, Douglas Grayes, Kevin Grayes, Nicole Grayes and Michael Grayes. Twenty - Seven Grandchildren, Her brother's Bobby Mason, Idell Mason Jr and sister Nancy Vanderhoof. She was a loving and great girlfriend to Eddie Mullins. She was a very great friend to Douglas Grayes Sr. and mother to all his kids. She leaves behind two daughters in law; Ashley Rowell and Jennifer Shannon.
Son in law, Jay Easterday Sr., many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is reunited with her father, Idell, brother Donald Mason, son Charles
Grayes, grandsons, baby Jay Easterday Jr., and Caesyn Grayes and many friends.
A visitation for family and friends will take place Sunday, August 4, from 12-6 PM, at Verheyden Funeral Home, 7100 Michigan Avenue, Detroit, Michigan.
A second day of visitation, and funeral service will take place Monday, August 5, from 10AM- 1 PM, with burial immediately following at Woodmere Cemetery.
