Lisa Newland Tuohy Banton

Lisa Newland Tuohy Banton, 66 of Eustis, Florida unexpectedly passed away 2/25/2023. Lisa was born in Portsmouth, VA to her Parents Herbert Newland and Jackie (Blyth) Newland. She spent most her years as a resident in Florida, Coral Gables, Miami, Lake Mary/Longwood, and Eustis. Lisa had different occupations throughout her life, but mostly spent her time caring for others. Lisa is survived by her husband JT of Eustis, FL; daughter Brooke Tuohy-her significant other Doug Pierce of Port Orange, FL; son Darren Tuohy-his wife Kelly, and grandson Brady of Jacksonville, FL, brother Glen Newland of Winterhaven, Fl. Lisa was an avid charity worker with multiple rescues beginning her work with Buddies Thru Bullies over 20 years ago rescuing and fostering multiple pets throughout her life. She was involved with PAWS Therapy dogs, Inc. as well as the horse community. She devoted her life to helping others regardless if they had two or four legs. If you knew Lisa she would cook you a gracious meal and offer the shirt off of her back. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to Buddies thru Bullies and/or PAWS Therapy dogs, Inc., along with continuing to help animals in need.
