Lisa Nicholson, 60, passed away unexpectedly in her home in Arlington, VA. Lisa was born November 16, 1963 in Jamestown, NY, the daughter of Barbara Barrelle Spetz and the late Weldon "Archie" Spetz.
Lisa was a graduate of Jamestown High School and The Wilma Boyd Travel School.
Lisa was a beautiful person and could light up any room with her smile and warm hugs. She worked as a flight attendant for many years where her bubbly qualities made every journey a little brighter. Most recently, she was employed at Trader Joe's, where her warm personality and infectious smile made her a beloved member of the team and a favorite among customers.
Lisa is survived by her mother Barbara (Barrelle) Spetz, her daughter Jordan (Kain) Kolstee of Jamestown, NY, three sisters; Debra Rubin of Arlington, VA, Pamela (Peter) Parla of Jamestown, NY, and Krista (Shay Pratt) Spetz of Alexandria, VA, two nephews; Zachary Rubin of Bel Air, MD and Benjamin Rubin of Arlington, VA, and Janice "Aunt" Barrelle of Jamestown, NY. She was preceded in death by her father Weldon "Archie" Spetz and her husband Donald W. Nicholson who she married August 29, 1987.
No services will be held at this time. A memorial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
The family prefers donation gifts, dedicated in memory of Lisa, to be made to the Mental Health Association in Chautauqua County.
