Lisa Marie Oberbroeckling of Westfield, IN, passed away on March 4, 2024, at the age of 40, after battling esophageal cancer for 5 months. She was born in Clarion, IA, on June 9, 1983. She graduated from Belmond-Klemme High School where she was actively involved in sports, band, student council, national honor society, and church while always trying to lift the spirits of those around her with her infectious laugh and sense of humor.
Upon graduation, Lisa made her way to Dubuque to attend Clarke College, where she continued to excel while being selected as an academic all-conference team in volleyball while majoring in communications. She lived in Chicago after college before moving to Westfield to build a family. Lisa loved celebrating and creating traditions with her family, no holiday was too small to celebrate. Lisa has many accomplishments in life to be proud of, but she took the most pride in raising her daughters. She was always active with their school as part of the PTO, a room mother, and softball coach among other activities and was always present at their events.
Lisa was a warm and radiant soul and was the epitome of kindness. She will be deeply missed by everyone she's impacted during her life and will live on in the lives of her daughters.
She is survived by her Daughters Piper Oberbroeckling and Paisley Oberbroeckling of Westfield, Mother Bonnie Arnold of Belmond, IA, Sister Tori (Jess) Barrett of Warner Robins, GA, Brother Brian (Kathryn) Kapka of Dows Iowa. She was Preceded in death by her father Charles Kapka of Dows, IA.
In lieu of flowers any donations made will go towards the care and education of her daughters. Donations can be made to her estate or to her GoFundMe page.
Visitation will be held from 4pm until 7pm, Friday, March 15, 2024, at Flanner Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park (Prairie Waters) 4180 Westfield Rd. Westfield, IN. A Funeral Service will be held at 11am, Saturday, March 16th, 2024, at Flanner Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park. Burial will follow funeral service at Hamilton Memorial Park Cemetery.
