Lisa Panchella Obituary

Published by Cavanagh Family Funeral Homes, Inc. & Private Crematory - Norwood on Jan. 15, 2020.
Lisa Marie Panchella On January 15, 2020 Beloved wife of Thomas P. Panchella, and loving mother of their son, Brayden . She is also survived by her parents, Michael and Lucy Harms, her sister, Sandra (Michael) Robinson, brother, Daniel (Christy) Harms, niece Eloise Robinson and grandmother Joan Dailey. Also survived by Thomas and Evelyn Panchella. Lisa grew up in Drexel Hill, graduated from Upper Darby High School (1999) Albright College (BS Biology 2003), and Drexel University School of Medicine (MLAS 2005) On August 21, 2004, Lisa met and fell in love with her adoring husband of 11 1/2 years. On September 15, 2012, Lisa's dream came true when she gave birth to their only child, Brayden. Through the years Lisa worked at UPenn, Temple, and The Wistar Institute. She was a member of the Delaware Valley Branch of AALAS. Lisa led a colorful life surrounded by an amazing group of family and friends, and touched the hearts of everyone she met along the way. She had a gigantic smile that could light up a room, a fun and witty sense of humor, along with the most loving and caring attitude that was unparalleled. These are just few of the many attributes that she possessed. Lisa loved life to the fullest and enjoyed doing any and every activity. As long as the people she loved were there and happy, so was she, which spoke volumes for just how unselfish and easy going her personality was. There honestly is not enough time and paper in the world to describe this beautiful young woman and I'm sure anyone who has ever met her would agree. She was a dedicated Wife, Mother, Daughter, Friend and so on, and the world will be a much colder place now that she is gone. Lisa was only 38 years young. Family and friends are invited to her visitation on Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home 301 Chester Pike, Norwood, PA 19074. Lisa will be laid to rest the following morning at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, 1600 S Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064 at 11am. Close Family and Friends are invited to attend. Meet directly at the Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lisa's memory may be made to: Providence Animal Shelter, 55 Sandy Bank Road, Media PA 19063, Lisa's place of employment; The Wistar Institute 3601 Spruce St, Philadelphia, PA 19104, or a charity of your choice.

I loved Lisa for always being genuine and authentic. Being her friend meant laughing together, talking without judgement, having fun, being your true self, crying together, complete support, understanding facial expressions when words wouldn't work, creating memories that others would never understand or appreciate, dancing, understanding, witnessing a contagious smile and love. I will miss her every day.

Lisa, my friend and colleague. I was lucky enough to see her grow and excel in her field. She gave much of herself and stayed humble in spite of all of her accomplishments. She will be very much missed.

Lisa was a dear friend to me throughout our high school and early college years. I will never forget her laugh, her smile and the way that she always lit up a room just by being in it. My heart is broken for her family and close friends, who are assuredly devastated. She is woven into some of my most treasured memories and I will always cherish and remember her with love and admiration for the person she was and the goodness she gave to all those she touched in her life. My sincerest and deepest sympathies to Lisa's family and close friends.
