Lisa was my neighbor, and she was my friend. She and I texted often, praying with each other. Laughing together as we shared funny emojis. Reminding each other to stay strong in our battles.
No matter how much she suffered in her body, she had a smile to give us. She was a great encouragement to me.
As the snow and ice melted away, and as it got warmer, we started dreaming of meeting at the gazebo near her side of the complex. Getting outside our four walls to get some fresh air and spend some much needed time together.
I love Lisa. I will miss her.
It will be difficult, but I plan to go out to that gazebo; I will sit and remember her often. I know the pain is no longer holding her down. However, I fully expect to look up from time to time and see a cardinal or bluejay sitting nearby. And I will have a smile.
Thank you, Lisa, for being who you were, even when you didn't feel like it. Hugs & Kisses, Rikki.

I was a neighbor of Lisa´s at Mariposa. I would see her almost every day. She was very sweet and funny. She will be greatly missed.
