On November 13, 2024, at 64, we, as a community, heavy-heartedly surrendered Ms. Lisa Desiree Thompson to God's heavenly realm. Our collective grief is a testament to Lisa's impact on all of us.
Lisa was born at Ocean View Hospital, Myrtle Beach, on October 24, 1960, the daughter of Jack L. Thompson Sr. and the late Rachael A. Stith Thompson.
Lisa attended Myrtle Beach High School. She was passionate about her family, friends, and animals. Lisa enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, sailing, photography, and laughing. She began a professional career in the local service and fine dining industry. She became an accomplished and talented professional photographer. Lisa enjoyed several years with friends as a second mate on sailboats in Fort Myers, Florida, before a photographic trip throughout the Grand Canyon. Lisa returned to the beach and spent the past twenty-five years as a key member of the service staff at Thoroughbreds Restaurant where she was passionate about the Restaurant and her many years of devoted repeat patrons.

Shocked to hear this as we became friends during many visits to thoroughbreds where she took great care of us each year. We will miss her tremendously.

Lisa was such an amazing woman and friend. I loved working with her so very much. I remember she used to tease me all the time that she could see the band of my boxers when I was working, as I was a line cook at Thoroughbred's, so she began calling me Calvin...for Calvin Klein. She even gave me a Calvin Klein sweater that I have to this day. I loved her dearly and she will be missed dearly. Love you, Lisa, I'll see you on the other side.
