Lisa Ellen Trusty

Lisa Trusty, 65, passed away suddenly on October 23, 2025. She was a wonderful woman with a heart of gold, whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met.

Lisa was born on July 2, 1960, in Wilmington, Delaware and lived a life full of love, laughter and compassion. An avid reader, she especially cherished her daily time with the Bible. She dreamed of becoming a writer and found beauty in the written word. Lisa had a deep love for animals-especially cats-and cared for countless strays over the years, never turning a hungry one away.

Her family was the joy of her life. She adored her children and grandchildren and took great pride in their accomplishments. Her mother, Phyllis Webb, was also her best friend; the two shared a bond so close they spoke for hours each day. Lisa's generosity was boundless-she would give the shirt off her back to those she loved-and her funny, beautiful spirit brought light to every room she entered.

Lisa is survived by her beloved mother, Phyllis Webb; her four children, Kara Trusty, William Alexander Trusty, Jenna Trusty and Mark Trusty; her three grandchildren, Maddox, Amelia and Samantha Trusty, who were her greatest pride and joy. She is also survived by her fiancé, Grant Smith and her lifelong best friend, Collette Pepper.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Webb and her maternal grandparents, Earl and Mildred Irelan.

Lisa Will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her love, laughter and compassion will live on forever in the hearts of those she touched.

She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, faith and unconditional love-and though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing her beautiful soul is finally at peace.
