Lisa Wiedemer Obituary
June 8, 1959 - March 24, 2025
State College, Pennsylvania - Lisa Lynn Wiedemer, 65, of State College, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Born June 8, 1959, in Indianapolis, IN, she was the daughter of the late Darrell and Beverly Engelhardt. On November 23, 1996, in a ceremony in Ocala, FL, she married Martin John Wiedemer, who survives.
In addition to her husband, Lisa is survived by her brother, Mark Engelhardt of Madisonville, KY; sisters-in-law, Wendy Campbell (husband) James, Amy Bellina (husband) Michael; brother-in-law John Wiedemer (wife) Leah; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Mooch.
Lisa earned a Bachelor's degree from Ball State University in Journalism in 1981 and a Master's degree in Mass Communication in 1994 from the University of Florida. She worked as a Pre-Award Grant Manager for the Commonwealth Campuses at Penn State University.
Upon retirement, Lisa volunteered at Centre County PAWS and was an active member of her church. She loved reading mystery novels and was a member of a local mystery book lovers group.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 205 S. Garner St, State College, PA 16801.
Inurnment will follow the service at Grace Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Centre County PAWS, 1401 Trout Rd, State College, PA 16801 or Schlow Centre Region Library, 211 S. Allen St., State College, PA 16801.

Dear Family,
I have known Lisa for all my years at Penn State. She was a wonderful person. I was shocked and saddened to hear she passed. I know she was looking forward to her retirement.
My deepest condolences.
