The Livingston Family

Peter Livingston and his wife, Donna, both 48, along with their daughters, Everly, 14, and Alydia, 11, passed away together as a family on January 29, 2025, aboard American Airlines Flight 5342.
Peter was born on May 18, 1976 in Petersburg, Virginia and is survived by his parents, Sterling and Martha Livingston; brother Albert (Melinda) Livingston; sister Sarah Kinzer (Gary); and nieces and nephews Max, Fisher, Frank, and Molly.
Peter graduated from Oakton High School in 1994 and went on to serve as a trusted Realtor with Keller Williams, where he was recognized by the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors as a top producer for multiple years. Peter was lauded for his patience and care with buyers, and for his mockery of homes with bathroom chandeliers. But Peter was best known for his love and dedication to his wife and daughters, joyfully leading the charge behind the scenes to support their endeavors. It wasn't that Peter couldn't say no to his girls, he was just delighted to say yes.
Donna (Smojice) Livingston was born on December 8, 1976, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and is survived by her mother, Mary Smojice; brother Mark (Sally) Smojice; and niece and nephew Maddy and Brody Smojice; and is reunited in death with her father, William Smojice.
Donna graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1999 and was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority where she met several lifelong sisters. Highly driven and ambitious, she went on to work in marketing for Discovery Communications and AOL before landing at Comcast where she excelled over the last 16 years. Donna's infectious energy extended beyond her career as a beloved friend, Cricut crafter, shopping enthusiast, and dedicated skating mom and wife.
Peter and Donna met in 2006 and were married in Jamaica on November 21, 2009. On September 27, 2010, Everly Pearl was born in Sterling, VA. Her sister, Alydia Steele completed the Livingston family, born on September 29, 2013. Like their mother, Evy and Liddy embraced all the girly delights. The three Livingston ladies had an enviable surplus of clothing, accessories, shoes, and arts and crafts supplies.
When the girls were very young, Peter, a hockey enthusiast, created an ice rink in the backyard to teach the girls how to skate. It was the first of what became an annually constructed backyard rink, and the birth of Everly and Alydia's primary passion: figure skating. The girls, known to many by their Instagram handle @ice_skating_sisters, skated at the Ashburn Ice House and were members of the Washington Figure Skating Club, competing all over the country.
The Livingston family was devoted to the girls' figure skating and spent their final days together immersed in what they loved. There are personal goals, like the girls' dream to skate in the Olympics one day. Then there are goals shared by us all - to leave this Earth surrounded by those we love having lived a life full of passion. Both goals are achieved by few. The Livingstons fulfilled the hardest one. And we're certain that the Olympics was in the bag.
A Celebration of Life will be held for The Livingston Family on Friday, February 7 at 10 a.m. at Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg. The service is open to all, but the family requests that the media not attend. In keeping with the celebration of life, attendees are welcome to dress as colorfully as they remember Donna, Peter, Everly, and Alydia to be.
