Lloyd Steven “Thunder” Andrews, of Dayton, KY passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the age of 77. He was born in Covington, KY on October 29, 1946, the son of the late Lloyd Edwin and Thelma Andrews. Lloyd proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and worked as a meter reader for Cinergy. In his spare time, Lloyd often enjoyed camping, bowling, playing softball and going houseboating with his friends. He would often hangout at the Moose Lodge and was an avid fan of the University of Kentucky college basketball. His greatest joy, however, came from spending time his family whom he cherished deeply. Preceding Lloyd in death were his parents; his grandmother, Margaret Etter; mother-in-law, Maxine Abuan and a great friend, Tom Rosenacker. Those left surviving to carry on Lloyd’s memory include his loving wife, Felicidad Abuan Andrews; sons, Jim (Tracey) Andrews, Robert (Jane) Andrews and Steven (Amy) Andrews; sister, Linda (Dan) Chism; grandchildren, Brooke, Logan, Jazmine, Nate, Tanner, Steven, Abby, Andrew, Ayden, Abram; great-grandson, Oliver; best friends, Dave Dean, Bill Haubner, Tim Stewart and Butch Wolf; as well as many other relatives and friends who are now emptier upon his passing. A visitation celebrating Lloyd’s life will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015. Military honors will commence at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
