QUEENSBURY - Lloyd A. Bramer, Sr., 85 a resident of Queensbury, passed away at his home on Monday, January 29, 2024.
He was born December 11, 1938 in Colonie, NY and was the son of the late Howard and Katherine (Newport) Bramer.
At the time of his retirement, Lloyd co-owned Bramer Consulting. Prior to that he worked for Ciba-Geigy, International Paper and Bramer Automation and Control. Lloyd held his Professional Engineering license.
Lloyd was a long-time member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Hudson Falls where he served on the Board as a Deacon. In his earlier years, he had his private pilot's license and enjoyed flying in his free time.
Lloyd's enthusiasm for computers opened career opportunities for him and remained an avid interest throughout his life.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Joyce M. Bramer who passed away September 7, 2005, as well as two brothers: Robert Bramer and Bruce E. Bramer.
Survivors include his five children: Lloyd Bramer, Jr. (Donna) of SC, Carol Hargraves (Bob) of Queensbury, Bryan Bramer of Queensbury, Mark Bramer of Glens Falls and Russell Bramer of Queensbury; his grandchildren: Matthew, Leland, Cassie, Meghan, Sarah, Ryan, Brandon and Seth; his great-grandchildren: Amelia, Levi, Emersyn, Raegan; and several nieces and nephews.
At Lloyd's request, funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
