Lloyd David Camp, 77, of Arthur passed away Tuesday, November 4th, 2025 at The Haven of Tuscola in Tuscola, Illinois.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 15th from 10-12 at Penn Station, 122 E Progress St. in Arthur, Illinois. Shrader Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Dave was born on January 22, 1948 in Morgan County Illinois, the son of Ray and Doris (Fry) Camp. Dave grew up in Roodhouse, Illinois. Dave was a member of the First Baptist Church in Roodhouse, achieving 18 years of Sunday School perfect attendance.

Dave graduated from North Greene High School in 1966. He attended Illinois College until joining the Army and serving in Germany. Dave managed Cabinet Factories Outlet in Arthur for 33 years, from the day they opened in 1982 as Schrock Factory Outlet until he retired in 2015.

Dave cared deeply about wildlife conservation, active in many conservation groups including National Wild Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited, and Pheasants Forever. Dave served as NWTF State Chapter President. He also served as president of the Kaskaskia Longbeards, his local NWTF chapter.

Dave also cared about the community of Arthur, where he lived for 45 years. He served as president of the Arthur Park Board and helped organize Friends of Park, which raised funding to install a new playground at Eberhardt Park. Dave was a big supporter of Arthur sports and was involved with the Arthur Sports Boosters.

Dave was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Growing up an hour away from St. Louis, he attended many Cardinals games, and continued that tradition with his daughter Cindy. Together, they attended Opening Day, a World Series game, and many great days at the ballpark. His face lit up seeing his grandsons in Cardinal gear.

Dave enjoyed watching sports of all kinds, playing golf, hunting, listening to audiobooks (especially Stephen King), and taking a daily walk. He loved an ice cold fountain Pepsi.

Survivors include his daughter, Cindy (Kyle) Yoder of Arthur, and grandsons, Evan, Logan, and Tanner Yoder. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Alissa J Camp, son in law, Jason Emmett, sister, Marla Jean Layton, and brother, Steven Ray Camp.

His family would like to thank the staff at Eberhardt Village, The Arthur Home, Haven of Tuscola, Transitions Hospice, and the Arthur EMTs for their kind and compassionate care.

Memorials may be made to the Arthur Public Library to aid in building an interactive outdoor children's exhibit designed to encourage mathematical development, in collaboration with the Children's Museum of Illinois.
