Lloyd Wayne Clark, a lifelong resident of St. Charles, died at his home on July 16, 2025, at the age of 77.

Lloyd was born on February 12, 1948, in St. Charles, Michigan, to Gilbert and Minnie (Blake) Clark. He graduated from St. Charles High School in 1966 and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the Purple Heart for his bravery and sacrifice.

Following his service, Lloyd built a lifelong career as a Machine Repairman at Saginaw Steering Gear, retiring in 2000. In September of 1990, he married his beloved wife, Mary Ann Patterson.

Lloyd lived life with a spirit of adventure and a love for the outdoors. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing league softball and spending time plinking in the woods with his brother and best friend. He had a passion for trail riding motorcycles, fast cars, and spending time drag racing. A dedicated hunter and fisherman, Lloyd especially cherished his bow hunting trips to Colorado.

Lloyd continued to serve by volunteering with Michigan's Chapter 180 of the Military Order of the Purple Heart. He spent countless hours working to improve the lives of combat wounded veterans and their families.

Lloyd is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Clark; his children Lisa (Chris) Fleming, Amanda (Troy) Breasbois, and Scott (Mandy) Clark; and stepchildren Patricia (Harold) Pignatelli, Ramon Enriquez, Theresa (Matt) Parker, and Stephanie Enriquez. He leaves behind a proud legacy of grandchildren: Nicholas, Joshua, and Noah Fleming, Tucker (Bailey) and Zackary Breasbois, Breanna Dewey, Christopher Hite, and step-grandchildren Anthony, Spenser, and Steven Pignatelli, Katie Enriquez, Ashlyn Alvarez, Andrew, Alex, and Abigail Thilges, Madison Parker, and Logan Enriquez. He is also survived by his brother Larry Clark; nephews Mitch and AJ Clark; and dear friends Jack and Sue Bare.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Minnie Clark, and sister-in-law Linda Clark.

The Clark family extends their heartfelt thanks to all the first responders and the Tri-Township Fire Department for their care and support.

A burial of ashes with full military honors will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 2:30 p.m., at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.

Lloyd will be remembered for his courage, dedication, generosity, and the lasting love he shared with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
