Lloyd P. Miller, age 98, of Roseville, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025 at Gable Pines Senior Living in Vadnais Heights. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Lloyd lived a meaningful life full of love and laughter. Everyone loved Lloyd!
Born on May 3, 1926 in the Miller farmhouse in Centerville, MN to his loving parents George and Mabel (LaCasse) Miller. He grew up in St. Paul, attending St. Bernard's and Cretin High School before answering the call to serve his country. In 1944 he joined the U.S. Navy during World War II, serving with pride until his honorable discharge after the war in 1946.
He married the love of his life, Shirley Granger on October 26th, 1957 and they went on to have the five Miller Boys. Lloyd built a successful career in real estate, founding Century 21 LP Miller Realty and served as President of the St. Paul Area Association of Realtors. He was also an accomplished opera singer, known for singing the Lord's Prayer at family weddings. Lloyd's greatest joys included fishing trips with his boys and brothers-in-law on the Granger side, goose hunting in Alberta with his father George and brother-in-law, Henry Houle, and the time spent on the golf course with his beautiful bride. Spending time with his grandchildren always brought a smile to his face and his love for family always created memories that will be treasured for generations.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Shirley; his children John (Lynn), Dave (Tracee), Bruce (Christine), and Tom (Anila); 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He is now reunited with his cherished son Scott who tragically died in 1978 working at the Minnesota State Fair Grounds, his parents George and Mable, his sister Elaine, and most of his dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 PM on Friday, February 21st at St. Odilia Catholic Church, 3495 Victoria St. N, Shoreview, with visitation one hour prior. Private interment with Military Honors in Centerville at a later date.
Memorials preferred to stjude.org or the St. Odilia Endowment Fund.
Thank-you to all the staff at Gable Pines and St. Croix Hospice for the excellent care we entrusted in you.

Lloyd was a wonderful neighbor, I had so many great conversations with him as we sat and visited in his driveway, sometimes for a couple hours. He will be missed by all who knew him. Prayers to Shirley and all of his family. Tom and Diane Grahn
