Lloyd Norbert Pobanz

Pobanz, Lloyd N. Essexville, Michigan Mr. Pobanz, age 78 died Saturday September 18, 2010 at Brian's House. Lloyd was born in Unionville, on May 3, 1932 the son of the late Omer and Esther (Gerth) Pobanz. Lloyd married Sue Weber in 1995 and they have lived in Essexville. Mr. Pobanz is a member of Essexville Baptist Community Church, and Moose Lodge #169. Lloyd retired in 1993 from General Motors after 40 years of service. Mr. Pobanz is survived by his wife Sue, 7 children: Barbara (Ed Caron) Johnson of Pelham, NH, Ricky (Barbara) Pobanz of Huntington, IN, Mark Banner of Tampa, Fl, Michael (Lisa) Goulet of Auburn, Raymond (Dawn) Weber of Essexville, Paul (Kim) Weber of Bay City, Lonnie Weber of Rose City. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 sisters: Dorothy Reige, and Nettie Prokopanco . He was preceded in death by his son Daniel Pobanz in 1996, brother Vern, 3 sisters, Jean Vanbevern, Shirley Reige, Carolyn Hoppe and good friend Norman Kroll. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday September 22, 2010 at the Essexville Baptist Community Church, 1001 Main Street, Essexville. Pastor Richard Kinnamon will officiate with burial to follow in Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Hyatt-Ewald Funeral Home, Bay City on Tuesday September 21, 2010 from 2:00-8:00 P.M. and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
