Lloyd Lawson 'Tony' Thornton, Jr. Lloyd Lawson Thornton, Jr. (Tony) of Maryville, TN, passed away on January 25, 2024, at the age of 73. Born in Maryville on March 30, 1950, Lloyd was a wonderful Christian and a member of Broadway United Methodist Church in Maryville. He was a graduate of Maryville City Schools, a loyal employee of CVS, and the most wonderful husband, brother, uncle, and friend. Lloyd was always quick to say, "I love you." Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd Thornton, Sr. and Dorothy Pardue Thornton, father- and mother-in-law Wayland and Ruth Kinsler, and sister-in-law Shelby Seal. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda, sister Anne (Randy) Reynolds, brother John C. (Eileen) Thornton, several nieces and nephews, as well as many special friends. A Memorial Service for Lloyd will be held at Broadway United Methodist Church in Maryville on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Broadway UMC, Maryville, TN, in Lloyd's name. For Thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.
