Lloyd "Junior" Thrasher

Lloyd "Junior" Thrasher, 100, of Bushnell, Illinois, passed away peacefully at 11:01 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025, at The Villas of Bushnell.
He was born on March 23, 1925, in Lewis County, Missouri, to Lloyd Henry and Georgia Louise (Bohon) Thrasher. On December 27, 1944, he married Nondas Viola Pennell in Good Hope, Illinois. She preceded him in death on May 18, 2009.
Junior is survived by his son, Lloyd Eldon (Sheryl) Thrasher of Bushnell; two daughters, Marilyn Bricker of Bushnell and Roberta (Richard) Thorman of Macomb; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; two siblings, Dorothy Melvin of Macomb, and Thomas (Janet) Thrasher of Bushnell.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Ronald Eugene Thrasher, and sister Mary Lafary.
A proud veteran, Junior served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a lifelong farmer and also worked with Bricker Auction Service for several years. He was a devoted member of Jerusalem United Methodist Church, where he served on the Board of Trustees for many years.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery.
