Lloyd Young

Lloyd Young, 65, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. Words cannot describe the heart that Lloyd had, we probably didn't know half of what he did for other people. He loved to hunt and the outdoors. He was a hard worker, spending over 20 years in the grocery business. Lloyd was handy, was a wonderful mechanic and could fool with anything.

Kathy was the love of his life since they were 6 years old. They were inseparable.

Lloyd will be forever missed and loved.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his son, Joseph "Joey" Young, parents, Charles "Copper" and Viola Young, brothers, Perry "Squeaker" Young and Preston Young, great nephew, Jacob Miller, mother and father-in-law, Tommy and Kathleen Hatfield, brother-in-law, Eddy Hatfield and nephew, Brian Hatfield.

He is survived by his wife and love of his life of 46 ½ years, Kathy Young, siblings, Linda Brown, Charlie Young (Ann) and James Young (Patty), in-laws, Gary Hatfield, Nancy Davis (Walt), Randy Hatfield (Al), Mary Ann Oliver and Sherri Styles (Roy), aunts, Leola "Odie" Hindman (his favorite) and Imagene Hindman Youngblood, and more nieces, nephews and extended family than you could shake a stick at. Lloyd loved you all.

Pallbearers will include Eric Elrod, Michael and Andy Potter, Scotty Young, Eddie Miller, and Josh Harvey. Honorary pallbearers will include Roman and Thad Penney, Paul and Eli Hatfield and any other family members that would like the honor of walking with Lloyd.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 4:00 till 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025 at the funeral home. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 with Bishop Jackie Penney presiding. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant (Hotwater) Cemetery.
