Logan M. Eliason, 30, of Sioux City, Iowa died Thursday, June 18, 2015 at St. Luke's- Unity Point Health in Sioux City, Iowa after a long battle with brain cancer. A Funeral Mass will be 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salix, Iowa with Father Patrick O'Kane, Celebrant, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Salix, Iowa. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, June 22, 2015 with a scriptural wake service at 7:00 P.M. at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa. Logan Michael Eliason was born May 18, 1985 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Steve and Pam (Osterholt) Eliason. Logan graduated in 2003 from Westwood Community High School in Sloan, Iowa. He furthered his education at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa, where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Biology in 2007, and Herzing University in Orlando, Florida where he received his degree in 2009 as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Logan worked several years for Aegis Therapy in Sioux City, Iowa. In addition to always having a kind word and smile for everyone he met, Logan loved going to the gym and attending concerts, playing golf, and bicycling. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Hawkeye Football fan. He loved spending time with all of his family and friends, especially his nephews and niece. Logan was passionate about paying it forward, and doing good things for people. He participated in several "Race for The Cure" events. Survivors include his parents, Steve and Pam Eliason of Salix, Iowa; brother, Clint Eliason of Orlando, Florida; sisters, Lindsey (Jason) Luck of Sioux City, Iowa and Mandie Baker of Sioux City, Iowa; grandfather, Eldon Eliason of Salix, Iowa; nephews, Easton Jones and Raylan Luck; niece, Layla Luck; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lola Eliason; his maternal grandparents, Roger and Betty Osterholt; aunt and uncles, Sharon "Nanny" (Joe) Tripp, Ray Biggerstaff, and James Osterholt. Memorials may be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salix, Iowa. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.rushfamilycareservice.com
