Lois Ruth Ann Ash (Koplin), age 78 of Carlos, MN formerly of Richville, MN died Sunday, March 10, 2024, in the Alomere Hospital in Alexandria, MN. She’s joining her husband, Jack Ash, in Heaven.
Lois was born on her family farm in Ottertail, MN on March 3, 1946. She was the eighth child of Arthur and Adeline (Kempf) Koplin. She grew up in Ottertail on her family farm. She married Jack Ash on May 8, 1963 in Richville.
Lois loved playing bingo, going to the casino spending time with her grandkids, but most importantly loved being with her husband, Jack. If you ever wondered where Lois was, she was probably in the kitchen, as she loved to cook, especially with her grandkids. She loved relaxing and watching her western TV shows, she loved George Strait, but most importantly she loved bingo.
Surviving Lois are her sons, Scott (Theresa) Ash, Steve Ash, Pat (Jolene) Ash; daughter, Kelly Kees; 13 grandchildren, TJ Ash (Brittani), Casey Ash, Allison (Ash) Altenbernd (Alex), Caitlin (Ash) Marx (Tom), Brandon and Cameron Ash, Jenna, Logan, Alex, and Simon Ash, and Lilly, Trista, and Jaxson Kees; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Billy Koplin and Lavon (Koplin) Czech.
Preceding Lois in death is husband, Jack; her parents; her beloved son, Troy; siblings, Arthur, Verlyn, Betty, Arlene, and Joyce; son-in-law, Jeremy Kees; and her sister-in-law, Donna.
A Memorial Service will be held at Schoeneberger Funeral and Cremation Service in Perham at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Richville Village Cemetery.
