Lois Bauer Obituary
Funeral services will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ, Wheeling Township on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Gordon Wiegrefe will officiate. Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery, Wheeling Township. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church.

Lois Arlene Bauer, the daughter of Reinhart and Minnie (Keller) Hafemeyer was born on January 19, 1933. She was united in marriage to Paul John Bauer on April 18, 1952. They farmed in the Nerstrand area. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, quilting and baking - especially her famous cinnamon rolls and a variety of cookies. Lois' pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by daughters, Marlys (Richard) Anderson of Oronoco and Kathryn (Richard) Sohre of Good Thunder; son, Brian (Gayle) Bauer of Nerstrand; seven grandchildren, Megan (Paul) Wood, Tyler (Lindsey) Anderson, Jill (Chas) Jacobson, Julie (Charles) Broback, Jay (Sarah) Sohre, Matthew (Kacie) Bauer and Luke Bauer; eight great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; daughter, Janet; parents, Reinhart and Minnie; all siblings and in-laws.
