Lois Carpenter, 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Lois was a loving wife, mom, grandma, and teacher. Her greatest joy/calling in life was being a mother and grandmother. She was a devout catholic and committed to her faith and served as an educator for all ages in her church. She loved cooking meals for her family and enjoyed long walks with her grandchildren. Lois will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She was born on March 8, 1942 in Altoona, Pennsylvania to Earl and Edna (McGarry) Myers. She is preceded in death by her Father, Earl Myers, Mother, Edna Myers, Husband, Philip Carpenter, Daughters, Helen Carpenter, Sarah Carpenter, Brother, Ronald Myers, Sister, Janet Grove.
Lois is survived by her loving daughters, Tina Keeton, Janice(Steven) Sanford, Brenda (Keith Curtsinger) Carpenter, and Lisa Kay Dooley, 10 Grandchildren & 10 Great-Grandchildren, Brother, Earl Myers, Sisters, Barbara Walters, and Marilyn (Rick) Nadolsky, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville, Kentucky.
