Lois June Davison, age 102, of Plano, IL passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born on June 22, 1923 in Buffalo, MO the daughter of Harley Albert and Ada "Alma" (Sheridan) Dotson.
Lois was united in marriage on April 11, 1942 to Leonard Alvin Davison and spent the next 50 years happily together until his passing on May 6, 1992. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking, and feeding the birds and squirrels in her yard.
She is survived by her daughter, Arlinda (James) Jiles of Plano, IL; her grandchildren, Julie (Darryl) Cummins of Sevierville, TN and James Jiles of Sandwich, IL, nieces and nephews, as well as her longtime friend Jesse Haas of Plano, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harley and Alma Dotson; her husband, Leonard Davison; her siblings, Dorothy Wollard, Lowell Dotson, Mamie Reed, and Wilbur Dotson in infancy.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 12, 2025 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 W. South St., Plano, IL. Interment will follow in the Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano, IL.
Friends may visit from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at the Nelson Funeral Home in Plano, IL.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America or St. Jude's Hospital.
