Lois Douyard Obituary
Lois grew up in the Forestville section of Bristol. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a genuinely kind and loving person; was a friend to all, and always had a winning smile, quick wit and a ready laugh.
Along with Ray was an active member of the Terryville Congregational Church joining in 1955. Lois retired from the Bristol Municipal Employees Federal Credit Union in 1992.
Lois is survived by her children, Mark (wife Barbara) of Delaware; David (wife Lisa) of New Hartford; Beth of Thomaston, and Michael (wife Andrea) of Middlebury; brother Clifford Ruquist; 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Lois was predeceased by her brothers, Norman and Thomas Ruquist.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025, 11AM, at the Terryville
Congregational Church, 233 Main St, Terryville. Burial will be private in West Cemetery, Bristol. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Terryville Congregational Church Memorial Fund.

Beth and I were inseparable from 8th grade through high school. I spent many days and nights in their household. Lois always treated me like family. I miss those days! She really was the sweetest and kindest person I have ever met!
