Ms. Lois Laurine Hilliard

Lois Laurine Hicks Hilliard, 93, of Hot Springs, died April 10, 2010. Born in Hot Springs, Arkansas August 28, 1916, she married John Sherlon Hilliard on September 1, 1935. She graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1933. She and her late husband were among the first founding members of the First Church of the Nazarene, Hot Springs. She assisted her husband for many years in the Garland County Court House where he served as circuit clerk. She also helped him manage Lake Hamilton Campground. She is survived by two sons, Nathan Leon Hilliard and his wife, Mison Hur, of Williamsburg, Virginia and Dr. John Stanley Hilliard and his wife, Mineko Yoshida of Charlottesville, Virginia and four grandchildren, Jonathan Hilliard, student at Virginia Commonwealth University, and Maegan Hilliard, a student at University of Southern California, and Sachi Hilliard and Mika Hilliard.. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday with funeral services at 2:00 p.m. at First Church of the Nazarene, 3804 Central Avenue, Hot Springs. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens.
