Lois Jackson Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 7, 2023.
Lois Deborah "Debbie" Jackson, age 69 years, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 3rd of 2023, at her home in Quail Valley, Missouri City, Texas.
Debbie was born January 18, 1954 in Joplin, Missouri to the late Dale and Ruth Richards. Debbie was the second of four daughters, and preceded in death by her sister, April.
She was raised in Anaheim, California where she met her future husband, Jeff Jackson. They married on September 22, 1973 in Las Vegas and lived in Ocean Springs, Mississippi for eighteen years before moving to Houston.
They had three beautiful children- Amy Schendel of Houston, Amanda Fojtik (husband Travis) of Richmond, and Jeffrey Jackson of Missouri City. She also has one grandson, Lane Fojtik, who was the light of her life and greatest joy.
Debbie loved to cook and garden and spent most of her time outdoors with her beautiful flowers and plants.
She rescued many dogs over the years, and tirelessly cared for her four-legged family members over the many years. Her loyal pit bull, Nala, stayed by her side until the end.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Bullmastiff Association Rescue Service (ABARS).

I loved Debbie since I was 12 years old. Jeff and I would come home from the pool and she´d make us lunch (or order us pizza). She would get into Jeff about something and then apologize to me for being loud and tell me "I´m not talking to you Carrie". She always kept up with everyone she loved and we were always invited back to sit on the porch and chat. I´ll miss updates of the gator in the backyard and the love she showed when sharing her family´s pictures.

I never met Deborah, but I loved her and will miss her friendship very much. She has an immense capacity to love other people and animals, and Heaven is surely the right place for her to continue to spread love to us from above. Love you Deb, and love to all her family and friends.

RIP Dear Friend. We never met but I have enjoyed all your beautiful family stories. I felt your rescue dogs were mine too. I still miss Maverick. Your love for LANE was so pure and beautiful. I know he was such a treasure to you. I am glad Nala walked you to Heaven. You are so greatly missed Deb.

One of my favorite memories of Mr. Jackson would be Sunday night football. She would cook a delicious meal and we would sit on the couch and watch the game! Another one of my favorite memories was when she let me get a grape plant to plant in the garden! She taught me so much about life, gardening, and cooking. She will be missed terribly, but I´m happy she is at peace and reunited with her furry friend, Ella.

My favorite memory of Mrs. Jackson was when she would cook a whole wonderful Sunday lunch and we would watch Sunday night football! Another one of my favorite memories was when she let me get a grape plant for the garden! She taught me so much about gardening, plants, and life. She was a second mother to me in my young adult life. I miss her deeply, but I am happy she isn´t suffering, and reunited with one of her favorite girl´s Ella. (Her furry companion)
