Lois Jarrell Obituary
She is going to be missed by her children, Bennie Miller (Teresa) and Jennifer Davis (Jimmy); grandchildren, Amy Rahn (Mark), Roger "Bub" Gollihue, Shannon Kirby (Chris), April Edwards (Shaun), Mandy Wells (Jason), Mark Miller (Bambi), Brian Miller (Amanda), Megan Needham (Derek), and Morgan Davis (Jason Miller); great-grandchildren, Matthew Rahn, Rebekah Zipperer, Kristen Miller, Erin Floyd, Garrett Kirby, Trevor Miller, Aubry Miller, Trey Gollihue, Robert Gollihue, Olivia Wells, Stone Wells, and Greyson Needham; great-great-grandchildren, Kaiden Rahn, Rhema Rahn, Daxton Rahn, Haven Zipperer, Baylor Zipperer, and Ophelia Gollihue; sister, Judy Hammond (Mickey); step-children, Lewis Jarrell (Shirley), Pam Kilgore (Kerwin), and Robin Wilson, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.
She was born in Columbia, South Carolina and had lived in Garden City for most of her life. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Buell Miller, her second husband, Marvin Jarrell, a daughter, Pat Gollihue, a son, Mark Miller, and siblings, Edward Morris, Della McGlaughlin, and Elvene "Sissy" Murphy. Leona was a faithful member of Garden City Primitive Baptist Church for many years. She retired from Nifty City after many faithful years of service. She will be remembered for being faithful to the Lord and for being a beloved mother and grandmother. She is going to be missed.
The visitation will be on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Garden City Primitive Baptist Church located at 126 Smith Avenue. The funeral to honor Leona's life will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the sanctuary of the church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
Remembrances may be given to Garden City Primitive Baptist Church, 126 Smith Avenue, Garden City, GA 31408.
