Lois Edith Luce

Lois Edith Luce, 91, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday night, October 4, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Lois was born November 17, 1930, in Steprock, Arkansas to John and Alma Sturch. She grew up in Arkansas and received her education there. Lois lived in Wichita, Kansas and Seattle, Washington as an adult, working for Boeing Aircraft while in Seattle; she later returned to Wichita, Kansas and was employed by Cessna Aircraft until she was layed off. Lois then went to work for Learjet Aircraft for a period of time. She then returned to Cessna Aircraft until she retired. After retirement, Lois was contracted by Cessna Aircraft to help set up the Upholstery Division in Independence, Kansas where the new Cessna plant was being built.
Lois had some milestones in her career in the aircraft industry. During her career at Learjet, she had the opportunity to install the interiors of both Frank Sinatra's and Danny Kaye's jet aircraft. Another milestone for Lois was earning the position of Supervisor of the Upholstery Division in Wichita, Kansas during her time with Cessna Aircraft.
Lois was a member of Triumphant Faith Center, in Wichita, Kansas. She loved sewing and crocheting and made many quilts.
Lois is survived by her three children, Janette Smith of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Tony Smith and his wife, Julie of Wichita Kansas, Julie A. Shipman and her husband, Dwight of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and by one step-daughter, Barbara Jean Viers and husband, Jim of Frisco, Texas. She is preceded by her parents and by her husband Charles F. Luce.
The family will have a time of fellowship at Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home at 1:30 pm, Monday, October 10, 2022. A graveside service will be held at 3pm, Monday afternoon at Bartlesville Memorial Park Cemetery with Dwight Shipman, officiating.
