Lois Butler Marshburn

Lois Butler Marshburn, 81 passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2026, surrounded by her family at her home. She is Preceded in death by her husband; Bobby Marshburn and her grandson; Brandon Whimple.

Our beloved mother, grandma, great grandma (Mimi), sister and friend, was a source of love and warmth to everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Her kindness, generosity, and gentle nature touched the lives of many. Her memory will live on in our hearts.

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 1:00 pm from Onslow Memorial Park with Pastor Don Guldin officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, February 17, 2026, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm from Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville.

Survivors include her son; Garland Marshburn and daughter; Lisa Whimple (Richard) both from Jacksonville. Her grandchildren; Brent Whimple (Chelsea) of Oak Grove, LA, Bristol Whimple (Karley) of Chinquapin, NC and Brooks Whimple (Tiffany) of Jacksonville. Her Brother; Ronald Butler (Pat) of Jacksonville, her sister; Regina Sydes of Hampstead and her half-sister; Patricia McKeithan of Leland. Her Great Grandchildren; Halie Dearborn, Braydon Whimple, Maverick Whimple, Braxton Whimple and Briggs Whimple.
