Kathy Gross Obituary
A funeral for Kathy will be held 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 17th at Trinity Methodist Church in Jacksonville, where she was a life-long member. The burial and graveside will take place at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 18th at the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
Kathy was a graduate of Jacksonville High School and North Carolina Wesleyan College. She spent her career as an elementary school teacher with Onslow County Public Schools. She was an avid gardener as well as an active member of the quilting guild. She was a life-long animal lover, rescuing and caring for many dogs and cats.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 30 years, Thomas Gross; daughter, Louise Gross; parents, Martha and Grier Garrick; siblings, Susan Motes and Grier Garrick III. She is survived by her daughter, Heather Wilshire (Jason); grandson, Jameson; Sister, Bettie Francis (Gilbert); and nieces, Grace Francis and Rachel Garrick.
