Lois A. "Loi" Morris

Lois A. "Loi" Morris, age 73, formerly of Orrville, Ohio, died Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in Mount Vernon Ohio, following a period of declining health.
Loi was born on December 22, 1951, in Palo Alto, California, to the late Ned and Roberta Jane (George) Davey. She graduated from The College of Wooster, where she met and married Wesley Morris on April 18, 1973. Wes preceded Loi in death on June 8, 2014.
If you knew Loi, you probably have enjoyed something made by her: clothing, blankets, flower arrangements, photos, bookmarks, watercolor paintings, chocolate chip cookies, rum rolls, a slice of apple pie, or good trouble. She enjoyed trips to Lake Erie, reading through her endless stack of nonfiction books, and spending time with her friends and family. She worked for a variety of companies, including Buehler's in Orrville, D&S Distribution in Wooster, and Omicron Technologies in Chicago.
Surviving are her two children, Tiffeny (Steve) Miller of Gambier, Ohio and Jeff (Audra) Morris of Chicago, Illinois; two grandchildren, Theo and Olive; a brother, Mark Davey of South Carolina; the Davey cousins; and her many friends.
Per Loi's wishes, a cremation will take place followed by a private family burial at the Wilderness Center, in Wilmot, Ohio.
Enjoying art and access to education were tenets of Loi. Recently, she found joy in participating in The Annex, an art initiative by The Gund at Kenyon College. The family would like to extend a special thank you and their appreciation to the staff at Knox Community Hospital's Oncology Care Unit, Ohio's Hospice Inpatient Unit at Licking Memorial Hospital and satellite team, the caring nurses and aides at Country Club Nursing Center, and all the friends and neighbors that contributed to the excellent care of Loi.
