*GRAVESIDE SERVICE TIME CHANGE* Lois Runyon Obituary
LOIS ROBERTA RUNYON, age 93, of Sweetwater TN., entered her heavenly home on Friday, January 16th, 2026. A resident of Sweetwater, she is the daughter of the late Baird and Bessie Mae Roberts Reed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Walker Runyon; Daughter, Tamela Sheppard; Son-in-law, Jackson J. Glaze; 2 Grand-daughters, Sondra Jaye White and Heather Patterson. 3 Sisters, Louise McCallie, Haven Clark and Beatrice Charles; Brother, Jack Reed.
Ms. Runyon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a member of Union McMinn Baptist Church and currently the oldest member. She had read through the Bible at least 50 times. She retired as a LPN at the community hospital in Athens.
Survivors:
Daughter, Cindy Glaze; Son and daughter in law, Ronnie (Missy) Runyon;
6 Grandchildren, Jennifer Glaze, Beth Miller, Candice(Quentin) Brown, Brandy Runyon (Dustin Hooper), Eric (Faith) Millsaps, Dravin Runyon;
2 Step-Grandsons, Aaron (Ashley) Carroll and Justin (Amanda) Small;
11 Great-Grandchildren; 8 Step-Great-Grandchildren;
2 Great-Great-Grandchildren and 1 on the way.
Funeral Services will be Sunday, January 18th 2026 at 7:00 PM at Union McMinn Baptist Church with Pastor Gabe Brannon and Pastor Ronnie Runyon officiating.
Visitation will be from 6-7PM prior to the service.
A graveside service will be Monday, January 19th, 2026 at 11:00AM in Reed Springs Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Ben White, Sam White, Tom White, Scott White, Cooper White, Quentin Brown, Bralynn Runyon.
