It was my pleasure to work in the room next to Lois for 7 years. She was the quintessential professional!!!
She loved her job and she loved her students. I never say her down and that always reenergized me. She made me a better teacher but also a better man.
The world will be a little duller with your light got.
Submitted with gratitude and love,

May our Lord bless her soul and those she leaves behind. The Shoemakers are wonderful people! Have known them since Ridgway school days and from their support of community events. While working at Motion Control, we would have people stay at Faircroft. We even held a couple of morning meetings there and Lois prepared very good breakfasts for those meetings.

Dear John,Linda,Mark and family,
We are so very sorry to hear of the passing of Lois. What a special lady she truly was, One of a kind. I have so many dear memories of our time working together at the Middle School. I especially remember our prep period spent together and all the laughter and stories shared. Being a young , new teacher she sure taught me a lot and gave great advice on so many of life's issues, advice especially on buying a house!! We were lucky enough to buy the Shoemaker's home they built. We think of them daily as we have enjoyed life here for so many years.
She surely will be missed and we hold her memories fondly in our hearts. God Bless and our sincere Sympathy to you all!
Much love , Bob and Jennifer

My heartfelt sympathy to John and family. Lois was an enormously talented woman who generously shared her gift with her students, the faculty and friends. Always kind and thoughtful, she had a class about her that distinguished her in everything she had done.

I shall always remember Lois. We were both home economics majors. Lois was so kind to visit me in the DuBois Hospital after a truck ran me down in Ridgway, on Nov. 23, 2023. I always looked up to Lois as a fine example of another home economics professional.
