Lois Faye Jones Smith, the daughter of the late Fannie Howard, was born on August 31, 1953, in Albany, Georgia.
At a very early age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined with 2nd Bethesda Baptist Church. She exercised her faith as a devoted church member and she felt the need to lift up her voice to the Lord in the choir.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late Willie James "Bull" Smith.
Wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and loyal friend. Sister Smith was a blessing beyond measure. She was a very loving, generous, and giving person, who embraced life and people with loving open arms. She loved people and was always there to lend a helping hand.
On Monday, October 6, 2025, the angel of God escorted Sister Smith home to glory.
In celebration of this day, she leaves: two children, Sherry (Frederick) Sims and Anthony Mathis of Albany, GA; two adoptive sons, Rendell Taylor of Orlando, FL, and Raphael Taylor of Dallas, TX; four grandchildren, Robert Bradley, Malik Mathis, Janet Mathis, and Malcom Mathis, all of Albany, Georgia; three adoptive grandchildren; four great grandchildren, Kyelei Butler, Ar-Rhianna Milledge, Rashun Bradley, and Eren Bradley; one sister, Mother Louise Collins of Albany, GA; one brother, Leroy (Joyce) Jones of Leesburg, GA; three sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
