Lois Stanton, of Sturtevant, Wisconsinformerly of The Villages, Floridapassed away on the evening of June 2, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, caregiver, and friend, Lois lived a life defined by compassion, creativity, humor, and service to others.
Born to Arthur and Margaret (Larsen) Jacobson, Lois was raised in Raymond, Wisconsin, alongside her siblings Dennis, Darrell, Linda, and Dean. She went on to dedicate her professional life to nursing.
In retirement, Lois served as a volunteer guardian ad litem, advocating for children in the foster care system. Her work touched many lives and reflected her deep care for others.
She had a talent for arts and crafts, creating beautiful glass and resin pieces that are now treasured keepsakes. Lois was also known for her excellent cooking and baking, and for her sharp wit and warm laughter that lifted the spirits of those around her.
She found great joy in nature, especially during her time at her beloved lake house in Michigan.
Lois is survived by her children: Jason French, Joseph French, and Corie (French) Bongiovanni; and by her siblings: Dennis Jacobson, Darrell Jacobson, Linda (Jacobson) Newman, and Dean Jacobson and her beloved grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. She also leaves behind two loyal dogs, Buddy and Rocky, who brought her comfort and companionship.
Lois will be remembered for her generosity, strength, and the love she gave so freely. She made the world brighter and is deeply missed. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Lois, please visit our Tree Store.
